Intralogistics specialists from all industries are striving to replenish their assembly lines as efficiently as possible in order to optimise line productivity. Pick-to-Light (P2L) solutions are installed in the picking or withdrawal area. The compartment displays are equipped with four alphanumerical, seven-segment displays and a capacitive touch button with a bright multi-coloured LED. The production information system indicates the storage location that the picker should go to through the coloured illuminated LED. The display also shows how many parts are to be removed. The touch button is used to confirm that a step has been completed.
Put-to-Light solutions are deployed in the filling area for empty containers. The functionality is similar to that of the Pick-to-Light solution. In this case, the product information system sends a command to fill the container. The number of parts that are to be put into the container is shown on the display above the container. Pressing the touch button concludes the process.
Bright LEDs and displays ensure optimum visibility at all times. A large, brightly illuminated, coloured touch pad supports user interaction and makes it possible to confirm the picking process with just one hand. The LED is easily visible even from a distance and from different viewing angles, and facilitates the efficient forward planning of the picking sequence.
The robust IP54 and IK05 housing and shielded cabling ensure reliable operation in harsh industrial environments.
The sophisticated electronic design makes it possible to expand or service the bus system easily, even while the system is in operation.The safety of devices and employees is guaranteed.
The Plug & Play system has a modular design. Together with the Junction Boxes (JB) that are available as accessories, decentralised device architectures can be established with different communication structures and bus systems, e.g. Modbus/TCP, PROFINET, EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP.
External sensors, e.g. light curtains, can be connected to the system as addons. In this way, it is also possible to integrate automated acknowledgement routines into the working process, which can help to drive down error rates even further.
