RFID-Tags

RFID-Tags

With the AC SMART VALUE and ADVANCED variants, a charging process can be authorised with a registered RFID tag. 5 pre-registered RFID tags are included in the scope of delivery for each EV charging box. A maximum of 16 MIFARE DESFire or MIFARE Classic RFID tags can be registered for each charging box. The RFID tags can be managed in the AC SMART app and in the web server. Below you will find step-by-step instructions for registering, blocking, and deleting RFID tags.

Register a new RFID tag

1. Open the web server of your AC SMART (see chapter 9.3 of the operating instructions). In the menu item RFID/PLC-MAC, you will find all the settings that you need to manage your RFID tags. To register a new RFID tag, click on Start in the Learn new tag field.

2. Hold the RFID tag in front of the interaction area of the EV charging box within 60 seconds. After registration is complete, you will hear a confirmation signal. The ID of the recognised RFID tag is then displayed in the Last found tag field and in the Tag list after clicking on Refresh. The status Accepted is displayed in the Status selection field.

3. If you want to assign the ID a name, enter it in the list. You can also block a registered RFID tag by changing its status in the Status selection field. Confirm your selection with Save.

Delete an RFID tag

1. To delete a registered RFID tag, you can execute an unlearn process or delete the tag from the tag list. To do this, click Start in the Unlearn tag field.

Hold the RFID tag in front of the interaction area of the EV charging box within 60 seconds. After deletion is complete, you will here a confirmation signal. The RFID tag is then no longer displayed in the tag list after clicking on Refresh.

2. Alternatively, you can click Delete behind the RFID tag you want to delete. The RFID tag is then no longer displayed in the tag list.

Start charging process after authentication via RFID tag

1. Connect the charging cable to the vehicle. The RFID symbol on the AC SMART lights up white and pulses to indicate that authentication with an RFID tag is expected.

2. Hold a registered RFID tag in front of the interaction surface of the charging box. After successful authentication, an ascending tone sequence can be heard, and the RFID symbol illuminates permanently in white. The charging process then starts, and the status LED lights up blue and pulsates.

Stop charging process after authentication via RFID tag

If the charging process was started with an RFID tag, the RFID symbol on the EV charging box will be illuminated continuously white. Hold the RFID tag in front of the interaction surface of the charging box. After successful authentication, you will hear a rising sequence of tones. The RFID symbol lights up white and pulsates and the charging process will be stopped. You can now disconnect the vehicle from the AC SMART.
